Trial Judge, Justice Chinwendu Nworgu in his ruling on the bail application by counsel to the defendant, Cosmos Enweluzo, granted Dagogo bail in the sum of N20 million with one surety who must deposit a passport photograph alongside the defendant.

Justice Nworgu also ordered that Dagogo must not be allowed to travel outside the country without the leave of the court and to deposit his international passport in court.

The Judge also directed that the surety must be an indigene of Rivers State who owns a landed property within Port Harcourt valued not less than N20 million.

Speaking to newsmen outside the courtroom, counsel to Dagogo, Enweluzo expressed joy that his client has been granted bail despite the condition being quite huge.

He said; “In all things, we give glory to God and we express our profound gratitude to the judge for extending his discretion and magnanimity.”

However, the prosecution counsel, Chidi Ekeh said they are okay with the judge’s ruling but stressed that their only important concern is for him to appear in court for hearings.
