2025 VCAP graduation to celebrate 60 Emerging Visionaries
…Empowering Africa’s next generation of changemakers
The Visionary Compass Accelerator Program (VCAP) is set to host its graduation ceremony on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at The Civic Center, Lagos.
The event marks the culmination of a 10-month training programme which has taken 60 participants on a journey of transformational growth, strategic insights, and unparalleled collaboration, helping them clarify their visions, launch impactful projects, build sustainable ventures, and scale their inventions.
With the theme “Era of Emergent Advantage: Preparing Your Vision for Global Shifts and Innovation,” it reflects the programme’s commitment to equipping Africa’s emerging leaders for the future.
Renowned coach, speaker and founder of VCAP, Debola Deji-Kurunmi (DDK) noted that since the launch of the initiative in 2021 it has been offering visionaries a dynamic blend of coaching, mentorship, and actionable frameworks.
“Over the course of 40 weeks, participants are guided through four essential Visionary Execution Mastery Levels –Clarify, Launch, Build, and Scale. These levels provide a structured pathway for participants to translate their visions into tangible outcomes, from ideation to global expansion.”
DDK stated that the initiative is driven by its vision to give young leaders the clarity they need to carve their niche, align with purpose and leave meaningful impact on society.
“Our biggest mantra in VCAP is ‘If you have a mission, you do not need permission’ – These words have been a guiding mantra for our Visionaries, encouraging them to pursue their God-given mandates with boldness and clarity.
“VCAP has crafted a legacy of leadership development that transcends boundaries and equips Visionaries to thrive in a rapidly changing world,” she added.
Since inception, VCAP has empowered and graduated 70 trailblazers across 15 industries with cutting-edge frameworks, expert mentorship, and practical tools to thrive in today’s fast-evolving global landscape. With two graduating classes before 2024, the programme continues to be a beacon of innovation, collaboration, and transformative leadership.
She noted that the graduating class consists of professionals from diverse industries, and the ceremony would mark the start of many great things for the visionaries across their respective fields: “This graduation celebrates not just their achievements but the evolution of a community committed to innovation, excellence, and purposeful leadership. In this Class we are graduating Visionaries across 20 industries and have documented 41 product launches, 15 Visionary-visionary collaborations, 12 partnerships as big wins from all our Visionaries.
The graduation ceremony will feature a keynote address from renowned global leader and advocate for sustainable innovation Rolake Filani-Akinkugbe, who will be sharing valuable insights to challenge the Visionaries on aligning their ventures with global trends and leveraging the ‘emergent advantage’ for maximum impact.
An esteemed panel of industry experts, including Just Ibe, Yagazie Eguare, Chinenye Uwanaka, Atilola Moronfolu, Abisade Adenubi, Abiola Adediran and Ibukun Omololu, will also be sharing actionable insights on overcoming challenges, harnessing opportunities, and leveraging innovation to build businesses and organisations that endure in an ever-evolving world.
The Ceremony will also feature awards for standout achievers and culminate in a celebratory roll call of Visionary graduates who will be welcomed into an elite global network of Visionaries, creating opportunities for collaboration and influence.
