To secure the future of Nigerian youth through quality education, Dominican University Education Foundation (DUEF), in partnership with Dominican University, Ibadan, is set to hold a thanksgiving dinner and awards on Saturday, November 30, at the Catholic Church of Divine Mercy Lekki, Lagos.
Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, Chairman and co-founder of SEPLAT, Ambrose Orjiako; Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, Allen Onyema and other philanthropists are expected at the event.
In a statement by the Director of DUEF, Chukwuemeka Ebido, the dinner is a clarion call to uplift the dreams of countless young Nigerians.
He disclosed that the primary aim of the event is to raise essential funds for the institution and its projects, aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty by empowering Nigerian youth with opportunities for robust education, character formation and leadership training.
“We are deeply committed to fostering a new generation of responsible leaders and active citizens, an effort that resonates with the values and mission of the institution. We believe that nurturing a well-rounded, educated youth population can catalyse change, create a brighter future, and contribute to a stronger Africa.”
He added that supporters whose tireless efforts and contributions have made a meaningful impact in advancing the vision of the institution will be honoured at the event.
The organisers appealed to public-spirited Nigerians to join in inspiring and empowering a generation to lead with integrity, passion and purpose.
