Adesina, Coach Lawrence S. Adegbehingbe, Mr Abdulai R. Alade, Mr Blessing Wikina, Barr Adekunle Olusegun, Mrs Idowu L. Adenike and Dr Stephen Olawale Fasakin as its Secretary.
The inauguration was held via Zoom and was witnessed by members of the Association, all over the world, who keyed into the programme.
In his goodwill message, Dr. Stephen Olawale Fasakin, the National President of the Association, noted that inaugurating the first Board of Trustees (BoT) since the association’s inception in 1977 Is a pivotal moment in the organization’s history.
He expressed his gratitude to Dr. Rhoda Oduwaiye and her executive committee for successfully obtaining the association’s certificate of registration from the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) on September 15, 2019.
Dr. Fasakin explained that the inauguration of the Board of Trustees was delayed due to constitutional matters, which have since been resolved stressing that Improvements have been made to ensure equitable representation by adding more members.
“To enhance our governance, we recognized the need to expand our representation, particularly focusing on ‘qualification’ and achieving a geographical balance beyond the North-Central and South-West zones that previously dominated our ranks. With these constitutional requirements met, we believe this new development will serve as a turning point, propelling our association to new heights, given the calibre, status, goodwill, and extensive reach of our Board of Trustees members,” he stated.
Furthermore, on behalf of the Board of Trustees, Chief J. Olugbenga Ale expressed the commitment to advancing the Association’s progress through constructive contributions from all trustees.
