Varsity gets NUC’s nod for medicine, pharmacy, other programmes
Wesley University, Ondo, has secured approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to commence Medicine and Surgery, Pharmacy, and other new programmes at the undergraduate level for the 2024/2025 academic session.
A statement by the NUC, signed by its Acting Director of Academic Planning, Abubakar Girei, on behalf of the Acting Executive Secretary, said expert panels conducted resource verification visits to assess human and material resources for the proposed programmes at the institution.
The approval, according to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Samuel Obeka, marked the fulfilment of one of the university’s strategic goals. Obeka expressed gratitude to the church leadership for its support and congratulated the university community on this achievement.
