Experts have emphasised the importance of adopting Agile and Scrum methodologies to specific situations to boost efficiency in their operations.
This was the crux of the discussion at the Agile Nexus Conference, which was held with the theme, ‘The Future of Agile-Trends and Predictions’, held in Lagos.
According to the convener, Agile Nexus Conference, Busayo Balogun, the event is aimed at bringing the Agile community in Nigeria together. She urged participants to implement the learning into their life and business in order to produce results.
Speaking at the just concluded conference the Managing Partner, Training Heights, Dr Orlando Olumide said that there is a need for business enterprises to adopt and adapt the concept of agility in order to produce maximum results.
Olumide explained that the Agile methodology is about the better, smarter, efficient and effective way of doing things, which has its own approach, principles and processes.
He urged practitioners of agile to do better in communicating the processes to others and equipping them with the practical aspects of the methodology.
Managing Director, Hexavia Consulting, Eizu Uwaoma, urged organisations to be more process centric and systematic in their approach to build lasting firms, predictable operations and reliability.
Uwaoma charged people to be more projectised. He said: “For example you can have a guard chart where you can put all the tasks you are doing in different colours and change them to a particular colour when you are done with it.”
