To ensure access to quality diagnostic care in Nigeria, especially in underserved areas, a distributor of advanced medical imaging technology in Ghana and across Africa, Cassona Global Imaging Limited, has hinted at plans to officially open in the country.
To broaden healthcare services in the country, the company installed a Neuviz Ace SP – 32 slice CT Scan Machine at St. Mary’s Catholic Hospital in Gwagwalada, Abuja.
Head of Operations at Benson Coleman (BCA) Healthcare Ltd., Sulaiman Dangana, noted: “We are excited to have the equipment in our centre at St. Mary’s Catholic Hospital. It adds to our overall growth plan, and our quest to bridge the gaps in access to high-quality healthcare in Nigeria,”
He said Gwagwalada, located 40 kilometres from central Abuja, has limited access to advanced diagnostic services.
With the new equipment, Dangana noted that not only Gwagwalada, but also neighbouring communities such as Kwali, Abaji, and Zuba, would benefit.
He lauded Cassona’s role in the successful acquisition and installation of the equipment.
Cassona’s Facility Manager, Richard Entsie, said the company’s goal was to address one of the biggest challenges facing many healthcare facilities in Nigeria, including the affordability of advanced diagnostic equipment.
