Oritsetinmeyin Igbene Leveraging On Tech For Urban Renewal, Innovative Architectural Designs 

Oritsetinmeyin Igbene, Managing Director, Liberty Assured Limited, is a dynamic and visionary entrepreneur with a profound passion for architecture and Fintech.

With over 12 years of diverse experience in different sector of the economy, the Caleb University don and businessman, is hingeing on innovation, excellence and architecture as avenue to impact lives and for social change.

On his ambition to change society for good, he said: “My career is marked by a blend of architectural mastery and fin-tech innovation, aiming to address social needs through financial inclusion and modern urban design.”

Focused at achieving his aim, the tech-savvy recently break new a ground when he came up with the first ever offline card processing solution that has seamlessly integrated existing Point of Sale (PoS) systems and NFC-enabled devices. This has enabled business transactions to be conducted securely and conveniently, regardless of network availability or location.

With a Ph.D. in Architecture from Caleb University and astuteness to run a business, Dr. Oritsetinmeyin bestrides between the town and crown, carrying out research works, participating in academic discussions within and out the country, serving in a panel as a judge, overseeing professional works in diverse fields among others.

Oritsetinmeyin versatility has endeared him to the board of many organisations and platforms, where he has become a common feature and general mentioned for his expertise.

As an egghead, he has sat on different panels to judge other professionals works. Some of the panels include, Unilvelcity Hackathon, where he served at the Customer Acquisition Conference; Fintech Week 2023, where he discussed diverse and varied issues on fin-tech and building designing, among others.

He has being involved in manifold projects that run across different sectors in the economy. These projects are: Cassava Processing Plant, Benin for Dufil, he oversaw the design and construction of a state- of-the-art cassava processing facility. Another was the Insignia Factory Development, Lekki Free Trade Zone, where he led the architectural team in developing a comprehensive design for a major factory, focusing on innovative production workflows and environmental sustainability. He was also involved in Maritime Logistics Hub, Apapa, Lagos and was part of those that designed the modern logistics hub to streamline maritime operations, incorporating advanced technology and green building practices.

In the Nigerian Inter Bank Settlement System Retrofit, Ahmadu Bello, Lagos, Oritsetinmeyin directed the retrofitting of the NIBSS building, upgrading its facilities to modern standards while ensuring operational continuity. Working for Central Kitchen Development for Food Concepts, he spearheaded the design and development of a central kitchen facility, focusing on efficiency, food safety and sustainability, among others.

As head, Vizual Plus Design Studios, Lagos, from 2010 to date, the insightful manager has been directing a broad range of projects from conceptual design through to completion, ensuring innovation, sustainability and client satisfaction.

He has as well excelled in project management, navigating the challenges of diverse architectural undertakings from industrial complexes to high-profile residential remodels.

Oritsetinmeyin has as well engaged in strategic planning, business development and fostering relationships with stakeholders, clients and collaborators in the organisations he has worked for.

He is a member of different professional bodies that include the Architects Registration Council Of Nigeria (ARCON), Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA), financial technology (FinTech) association among others.

For his numerous works that cut across academics, industry and the architecture professional, Dr. Oritsetinmeyin coat is adorned with awards that tell the story of hard-work, diligence and scholarship.
