Ambode vows to transform LTV 8
Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has paid an unscheduled visit to the Lagos Television (LTV) 8 Studios in Agidingbi, Ikeja and pledged to give all the necessary support to upgrade it to a world class broadcast station. Ambode, who visited the place in company of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Paul Bamgbose-Martins, said that the station has the potentials to compete with the best TV stations in the world.
He was conducted round the station by the Director of Programmes, Mr. Deji Balogun and Director of Finance, Lawrence Ojo. He also inspected the facilities in the various studios, promising to digitalize the station and support it to become the best station in the Nigeria.
He recommended that the station review and improve their programming, while the aesthetics of the studios should be improved upon.
He, however, frowned at the use of the company’s premises for commercial activities other than television production.
