Apex Leader of the Justice Forum (JF) in Isolo Local Government Area, Prince Henry Oladele Ajomale, and other party chieftains have called on members to rally together, while stressing the need for unity and collaboration to ensure the All Progressives Congress (APC) remains strong.

The call was made at the formal inauguration of the Forum’s executive committee, Isolo Branch, held in the Okota area of Lagos State.

The event was attended by prominent leaders, including Dr. Abdul-Hakeem M. Abdullateef, former Chairman of the Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC); Hon. Akeem Muniru, former member of the House of Representatives; and Hon. Bayo Olasoju, Chairman of Isolo Local Government Area.

The leaders maintained that the Justice Forum, a political movement within the Lagos State chapter of the APC, is not a parallel body to the ruling party but was established to mobilize support for it from the grassroots.

They also urged parents and landlords to educate children and residents to shun planned nationwide protests, recalling the devastating effects of the last #EndSARS protests on the state.

The leaders highlighted efforts by the federal and state governments to address the nation’s problems, assuring that Nigeria would soon overcome its challenges.

Specifically, Ajomale, traced the establishment of the movement in 1989 and noted that its purpose was to mobilise support for the party and its candidates.

He emphasised the need for members to collaborate and work with determination ahead of the 2027 elections.

The former APC chairman said a mistake was made in 2023, leading to the defeat of the ruling APC in the presidential poll in Lagos State by the opposition Labour Party (LP), a development he noted had never happened in the state before.

He said: “In 2023, we made a mistake. We were sleeping. They defeated us in Lagos, something that has never happened before.

“We have woken up now; it would never happen again. We can win if we put in more effort; we can defeat with determination. Now, we have started earlier so that our leaders will win with ease.

“We must ensure that we do not make the same mistake again. That mistake will not be repeated again. We are strong now; we are ready to fight the battle, and we will win,” Ajomale stated

“We don’t want to rival the party; that’s why we say whoever has had a post in the party should not accept a post in the Justice Forum. Whatever we want to do, let us do it with strong determination.

Other speakers, including Dr. Abdul-Hakeem and Hon. Muniru, also urged for unity and collaboration among party members to ensure victory for the APC.

The event was marked by a massive turnout from various wards in the council areas, with Dr. Abdul-Hakeem presenting N100,000 each to seven wards and Ilasa ward receiving an additional N50,000 for having the largest turnout.
