At NMA 2023, Red Media, PalmPay win big

It was excitement galore recently, as stakeholders in marketing industry were honoured for their contributions to the sector.

Held at the Eko Convention Centre, Lagos, the event, which had D’banj, thrilling guests, was the second Nigerian Marketing Awards. It had as theme, ‘Elevate, Innovate, Inspire’.

The awards spotlighted exceptional efforts of individuals and brands that have impacted the marketing space.

Founder of the initiative, Tony Agenmonmen, in his welcome address, said, “our theme this year encapsulates the very essence of what we, as marketers, strive to achieve everyday. It represents a call to action for the marketing industry in Nigeria to rise to new heights, embrace innovation and inspire future generations of marketers.”

Agenmonmen added, “let us remember that this event is not just about acknowledging achievements; it is about honouring the spirit of innovation that drives our industry forward.”

Some of the award winners include, Brand Manager, NB Plc, Ifeyinwa Lauretta Madu, who was named Rising Star of Marketing; Miss Olatimenhin of the Covenant University, who got Marketing Student of the Year award, while PalmPay won Financial Institution of the Year.

Also honoured were Red Media, which won PR Agency of the Year; Sprite got Excellence in Experiential Marketing Award and Best Diary Brand of the Year, which went to Hollandia. Brand Manager of the Year was won by Kelvin Olumese of PalmPay and Campaign of the Year won by Pepsi.

Others were Brand Innovation of the Year, won by Zang.

Awards were also given to some marketing icons such as Sir Steve Bamidele Omojafor, Steve Babaeko and Theodore Austin Mukoro.

Edi Lawani, Adekunle Onime and Oluseyi Olatunde Siwoku were also honoured with Pathfinder Awards.
