The Artificial Intelligence Management Institute (AIMFIN) and the Omniversity Imperial College, Missouri, U. S., have honoured Chief Chibuike Elias for his selfless contributions to society.

While AIMFIN inducted him as a fellow of the institute, the Omniversity Imperial College conferred an honorary doctorate degree on him.

The honours were bestowed on him at the recent Executive Summit, AIMFIN Institutional Membership Awards and honorary doctorate conferment by Omniversity Imperial College, in Lagos.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Director of AIMFIN and Country Director to Ominiversity Imperial College, Dr. Praise Akogun, said both the varsity and the organisation found Elias worthy of the honour because of his exceptional leadership qualities, community impact, visionary entrepreneurial skills, humanitarian contributions as well as literary contributions.

“So, because of these, we found him worthy for the honorary doctorate. He founded successfully non-governmental organisations and businesses creating impact and jobs. He has implemented projects on human rights, conflict management and youth development through his NGO. He has also authored a book on integrity and success. With these achievements, we found him worthy of the honours.

“Looking at what he has done so far for society, with these honours, we expect more from him in the years to come.”

We expect him to be a good ambassador of the AIMFIN and Omniveristy Imperial College,” Akogun said.

Receiving the honours, Elias said the honours would encourage him to render more selfless services to humanity.

“I find it very interesting; it is an encouragement to me even as it can pass a message to other people that society is watching whatever they are doing for the sake of humanity. So, I thank God for these honours because it is not easy for one to be recognised and honoured out of millions. So, I see it as a privilege and I thank God for giving me the opportunity to receive it,” he said.

Born in the family of Mr. Bethrand Kudegwu Igwe at Abor town, Udi Local Council of Enugu State, Elias is the Chief Executive Officer of the Association for a Better Society (ASBESOC) Nigeria, which he founded in 1999 as a tertiary student and registered in 2001.

Since then, the organisation has executed different projects in the rural communities, especially on human rights awareness and protection, conflict management, youth development and empowerment programmes.

He is also the Founder and Chairman of CINCUD Homes and Properties Limited and ASBESOC Multi Cooperative Society Limited, through which he has been uplifting the less privileged. He is married with three daughters.
