PalmPay steps up customer support, security measures

PalmPay

As digital payments become part of everyday life for millions of Nigerians, PalmPay is using Customer Service Week 2026 to highlight measures it says are designed to keep customers supported and their accounts more secure.

The company said its approach to this year’s theme, “The Extra Mile,” goes beyond responding to customer enquiries and resolving complaints. It includes anticipating areas where customers may need assistance, improving account protection and providing channels through which users can seek help when they encounter problems.

The approach is part of PalmPay Dey For You, the company’s customer protection initiative, which combines security awareness, preventive measures and tools intended to help customers manage their accounts.

For many Nigerians, digital financial services now cover routine activities such as transfers, payments and other transactions. As a result, customer experience increasingly depends not only on whether a transaction is completed successfully, but also on how quickly users can get assistance when something goes wrong.

To address transaction-related concerns, PalmPay introduced its Transaction Dispute Page alongside the PalmPay Dey For You security campaign. The platform enables customers to report and track transaction disputes as they progress through the resolution process.

Speaking on the company’s customer service approach, Head of Marketing, PalmPay Nigeria, Femi Hanson, said customer support remained an important part of the digital banking experience.

“PalmPay’s customer service remains an important part of the banking experience, providing customers with the support they need with their accounts. Our approach is built around more than resolving complaints. It is about being present when customers need us most and making sure that every customer who reaches out feels supported and prioritised,” he said.

PalmPay has also introduced security features, including Night Guard, Large Transaction Shield and USSD Account Lock, which the company said provide additional layers of protection for customers in different transaction situations.

The measures are intended to help users respond to potential security concerns while giving them greater control over their accounts.

As Customer Service Week provides an opportunity to recognise the importance of customer support, PalmPay said it would continue to focus on strengthening its support processes, improving customer protection and helping users navigate digital financial services with greater confidence.
