Concerned by the current economic hardship, BG Cares, on Saturday, distributed food palliatives to impoverished Nigerians in Yaba, urging well-meaning Nigerians to be their neighbours’ keepers.

BG Cares, which led a group of bikers in Nigeria on a ride for charity, said it was working to dismantle stereotypes and showcase compassion towards members of society through upliftment programmes.

Speaking at the event themed: ‘Jollof to the Street’, President of the Bikers with Attitude and Determination, Mr. Kayode Palmer, said: “It is one of the essences of the group, it is why we ride. This dedication to altruism has been the driving force behind BG Cares’ relentless commitment to supporting the underprivileged and fostering a sense of unity within the community.”

A statement by BG Cares also added that it was driven by the determination to change the negative narrative surrounding the biking community, noting that it had been involved in various initiatives that bridge the gap between bikers and non-bikers.

The statement reads: “At the heart of their endeavors lie their impactful charity outreaches, which have become an integral part of their mission to create a positive impact in the lives of those in need.

“The annual ‘Jollof to the Street’ charity ride has become a cherished tradition for the Group, embodying their core values of empathy. Through the BG Cares, the Group collaborates with other charitable initiatives, magnifying the impact of their cause and inspiring a collective effort in promoting positive change.

“BG Cares hopes that their charity ride will serve as a powerful inspiration for others to join hands and make a difference in Nigeria. By embracing the spirit of giving and solidarity, the bikers aim to dismantle stereotypes and showcase themselves as compassionate members of society devoted to uplifting those in need.

“BG Cares extends heartfelt appreciation to all their supporters, partners, and volunteers, whose unwavering dedication and contributions made the ‘Jollof to the Street’ charity ride a resounding success. Their continued support empowers BG Cares to continue making a tangible difference in the lives of marginalized communities across Nigeria.”
