AWIS to Spotlight African Women
For the fourth year, the Africa Women Impact Summit (AWIS) will honour exceptional women in 30 African countries. It will also honour men in the He for She category, and empower women with various skills. Since its inception, it has empowered 3,600 women with various skills.
This year’s edition will take place at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos on November 9 and 10, 2024. Ahead of the event, the organiser through its Project empowerHER focused on entrepreneurship innovation, maximising productivity with digital tools, with sessions on Digital Marketing and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Aimed at bridging the gender gap in leadership and governance, the summit aims to expand the African women’s workforce and champion their leadership across various industries. It seeks to harness the transformative power of the diaspora for Africa’s development under the theme: “The Africa We Want 4.0: Sustainable Leadership–Unlocking Women’s Potential.”
Chairman, Central Planning Committee, AWIS, 2024, Yvonne Ebbi, said: “We are calling on everyone to join us in this transformative journey to unlock the vast potential of African women leaders. We look forward to your presence and support as we work together to shape the Africa we want.”
