Live Again Outreach transforms lives of women in Abuja

LIVE AGAIN

Over 200 women gathered at the Exhibition Pavilion for the Live Again Outreach Abuja, an intervention and advocacy programme organised by the Live Again Foundation under its flagship campaign, Mission 10,000. This is a bold initiative aimed at empowering 10,000 women who are victims of abuse, trauma, and systemic neglect to live again purposefully and profitably.

With a core focus on gender-based violence (GBV) advocacy, emotional healing, mental and physical restoration, and economic empowerment, the outreach provided an extraordinary day of impact that touched every aspect of a woman’s life. Women arrived from across Abuja, many broken, some hopeless and left renewed, refueled, and reawakened.

At the heart of the event was the story of Enifome Ogbimi, Founder of the Live Again Foundation and a GBV survivor turned transformational coach. She shared her raw journey of abuse and her process of healing, guiding women to move from pain to purpose to profit. Her message resonated deeply, as she urged women to leverage their wounds as wisdom, and their past as a platform for impact. The atmosphere was electric, not just with emotion, but with possibility.

Global storyteller and mindset coach, Naomi Osemedua, while leading a session on “Shedding the Labels,” urged participants to dismantle limiting beliefs, unlearn societal conditioning, and step into powerful new identities. Vocal empowerment coach, Halima Oyelade, awakened the audience with a session on “Finding Your Voice Again,” igniting confidence and clarity in women who had long been silenced.

Human rights lawyer, Mojirayo Ogunlana educated the audience on the VAPP Act and the power of knowing their rights as women, while Rantiade Benson Idahosa led a deeply therapeutic conversation on healing generational trauma, weaving faith, psychology, and strategy into a deeply healing session.

The outreach didn’t just speak to the mind and soul; it reached the body too. Attendees received massage therapy, professional makeovers, coaching, one-on-one therapy, and legal aid provided by the Lex Initiative for Rights, Advocacy and Development (LIRAD), alongside access to a range of support services. Women received donated clothes, sanitary items, accessories and wellness packages, ensuring that healing extended beyond words and into tangible care.

A deeply moving reflective and prayer session, facilitated by Pastor Evelyn Nwankwo, Senior Pastor of Dominion City Headquarters Abuja, invited participants to release emotional burdens and embrace healing from within.

Representatives from both local and international institutions present lent their support to the cause. UN Women representive, Patience Ekeoba, National Program Specialist, commended the Foundation for its strategic alignment with SDG Goals 3, 5, and 10, on promoting good health and well-being, gender equality, and reduced inequalities.

The Mandate Secretary for the Women Affairs Secretariat, Honourable Dayo Benjamins-Laniyi, was ably represented by Mrs. Kemi Samuels, shared a heartfelt story of personal loss and resilience, and praised the Live Again Foundation for its excellence in execution and its unwavering commitment to restoring dignity to women.
