Aimed at empowering female tech professionals, founders, industry leaders and with its mission to bridge the gender gap in the industry and unleash their abilities to take up frontline roles, NezaTech Africa is set to hold Tech Women Fest 2024.

The event which will also provide a platform for women across African tech ecosystem to connect, collaborate and foster innovation holds on October 12, 2024 at Zone Tech Park in Lagos.

Founder of NezaTech Africa, Toyin Abioye, said, “Our goal is to empower women and provide a space where they can learn, grow and collaborate. We want to create a network of women in tech that transcends borders and unlocks endless opportunities.

“With the current statistics of only 28 percent of the STEM workforce and a mere 19 percent of leadership positions in the African tech industry taken up by women, the fest will provide a space for women to gain the skills, tools and mentorship they need to lead in the industry.

According to Abioye, the festival will feature experts in diverse tech fields including co-founder of Turog Technologies and convener of Tedx Lagos, Mercy Akamo; Co-founder and COO Semicolon, Ashley Immanuel; founder of Coterie Builders, Esohe Igbinoba, and CEO of Bankly, Tomilola Majekodunmi.

It will also give opportunity for participants to explore the future of tech through exhibitions and live demos of cutting-edge technologies and solutions developed by women across Africa. This will inspire and equip the next generation of female tech disruptors to lead change in their communities and beyond.
