IWD: WEEG, Success Scoops Set To Inspire women

As the world marks International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025, TheMrsOnline Brand, led by Dr. Olufunke Samuel, is unveiling two groundbreaking initiatives designed to drive gender equality and economic empowerment for women—the Women’s Empowerment & Enterprise Grant (WEEG) and the Success Scoops 2025 Electronic Compendium.

Backed by a team of over 100 volunteers and featuring knowledge contributions from 20+ iconic Nigerian women, these projects aim to inspire action, provide opportunities, and equip women with tools to break barriers and thrive.

The Women’s Empowerment & Enterprise Grant (WEEG) is a transformative program that provides financial support, mentorship, and access to essential business resources for women-led enterprises and aspiring entrepreneurs. Designed to bridge economic gaps and eliminate structural barriers, WEEG empowers women to achieve financial independence and long-term business success.

“Economic empowerment is the foundation of gender equality,” says Dr. Olufunke Samuel, Convener of TheMrsOnline. “With WEEG, we are not just offering financial aid; we are nurturing dreams, strengthening women’s independence, and fostering sustainable growth.”

Women seeking mentorship and funding often face frustrating hurdles, with many opportunities being restricted by age limits, rigid selection criteria, or a lack of inclusivity. WEEG was created to address these gaps, ensuring that more women—beyond exclusive programs like the TEF Grant—can access life-changing opportunities.

“Not every woman can win the TEF grant, hence the need for more opportunities. Every woman deserves access and support to grow her business. With WEEG, we are bringing hope to women this Women’s Month.”

To celebrate IWD 2025, TheMrsOnline Brand is releasing the second edition of Success Scoops—a free digital compendium featuring self-written stories, insights, and strategies from more than 20 trailblazing women who have shattered barriers in various industries.

Co-produced by over 100 volunteers, Success Scoops 2025 serves as a global resource for women of all ages, offering practical wisdom, resilience-building stories, and actionable strategies to drive gender equality forward.
