Tolulope Adeleru-Balogun has been appointed Director of Programmes at News Central TV. With close to 20 years of experience spanning radio and television, she has established herself as a force to be reckoned with in the industry and is set to redefine content delivery and audience engagement on the continent.
Adeleru-Balogun’s journey in broadcasting began with a deep passion for storytelling and a drive to make a difference. Over the years, she has carved a niche as a broadcaster, journalist, producer, and talk show host. She is the host of Jasiri, News Central’s flagship programme known for bold and insightful conversations tackling pressing societal issues.
With her appointment as Director of Programmes at News Central TV, she assumes a pivotal role in shaping the network’s content strategy. She now oversees station programming, exclusives, scheduling, presentation, and productions, ensuring that the channel remains a leading voice in African storytelling. Under her leadership, News Central has experienced significant growth in viewership, engagement, and impact.
Beyond her executive role, Adeleru-Balogun remains deeply committed to the core principles of journalism. “I’m driven by a passion for storytelling and connecting with diverse audiences. My goal is to continue pushing the boundaries of Nigerian broadcasting, fostering engagement, and inspiring the next generation of media leaders.”
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication from Bowen University, her pursuit of excellence has also led her to complete advanced training programmes with some of the most renowned global media organizations, including the BBC, CNN, and Voice of America (VOA).
