As the Chief Executive and Storyteller at TCOC Global, share with us your experience?
My role is very simple, I am opportune to be the visionary behind the projects we have, I have an amazing team of selfless individuals spread across the world, who are bound by the thread of seeing a transformed world. Together with the team we launch products and services that enhance the productivity of individuals and profitability of businesses. As a storyteller I often like to stress that I communicate our value through the use of stories whether it’s a webinar, training, or even a book, which are the most effective tools on the earth, hence the moniker story teller.
What are the biggest inspirations behind your interest in the field of management and innovation consultancy?
I feel it’s an inherent desire to see people live up to their fullest potentials. Nothing is more disheartening than for an individual to shortchange himself. My inspiration is therefore to see myself as a driving force for people to look deeper into themselves, and in the case of businesses we challenge executives to reinvent the wheel in the manner of running their business operations, whether it’s in the area of their workforce or coming up with innovative products and services to serve their targeted market. These are my inspirations when I see various brands and business owners list us as the catalyst that bring real trackable change and improvement, that leads to a better bottom line
You have established yourself as a multifaceted professional excelling in a variety of roles. What would you say are the biggest factors behind your productivity?
It’s quite humbling when I am referred to as a Multipotentialite, a title I bear with utmost reverence. I like to compare myself to the seven in the Bible who were given multiple talents and my job is to ensure I give a good return on the Investment that God placed in me. So my excelling is a function of an inherent desire to ensure that I am spent out and affect my generation in such a way that there is such a transformation due to my modest contribution. So the driver therefore is a goal to first be a blessing to my world, two to die empty borrowing the words of the late Myles Munroe, and finally bring glory to my creator who will be pleased at the ROI.
What are some of the biggest personal challenges you have faced, and how have you been able to overcome them?
Like every man on the earth I have definitely had my fair share of diverse challenges which may even be too innumerable to list here. But regardless of the hurdles, the one way I have been able to overcome is first a possibility due to my faith, my journey with God is such that I have built myself to see every challenge as a coma and not a full stop. Secondly the remembrance that a world is waiting for my manifestation offers the fuel to go past and regardless the number of times I fall, I stand up and continue.
You have a strong educational background in Law, but you are building a successful career in Management and Innovation Consulting. Tell us about this transition.
I absolutely love the law and I won’t trade it for anything else, a turn of the clock won’t see me studying something else. My legal knowledge is an advantage and the best platform or foundation for me to build anything on. The transition was natural as I am using the same skill set that I would have employed in my legal practice whether it be negotiating, communication or transacting. The transition was also more or less easier because I was a commercial lawyer and always being interested in the intricacies of businesses and the individuals that drive them. Besides I still offer my legal services when the need arises so with me, clients get a mix of so many benefits due to my legal background.
You are an accomplished author, with quite a number of insightful books. Talk to us about some of your publications, and highlight some of the key messages you convey through writing.
Thank you. Yes, I have written about 50 ebooks and about six published works that cut across, success, leadership, debt and relationships. Some of the publications I have written include Get Ahead – a Success manual that was written to communicate the timeless patterns of successful individuals and how their success could be replicated. The next set of books on leadership include Leadership Gems in the Bible (Old and New Testament Editions) written to help those leaders who seek to lead in a Godly manner and not by the worldly standard. The book, “So you want to Lead” was written to help both new and established leaders to understand principles that made successful leaders so, it utilises the examples of leaders from all walks of life and historical times to buttress the principles. Also the book on debt speaks to my own experiences in a financial wilderness and is a desire to ensure people can reclaim financial freedom from debt, therefore, “You too can be debt free” is written as a key to set people free from the slavery that debt brings. The final book is the “Irrefutable Role of Gatekeepers” it is a book written to help individuals understand the keys to winning other men of influence, specifically those who guard systems, structures and other men. The book offers gems that once implemented will see the relationship of the reader with other men greatly improve and bring about greater return.
You have conducted several training sessions for a number of renowned entities. Tell us about the amount of impact you have been able to make through some of your training.
I absolutely love training, it is a delight when I stand before hundreds of individuals across diverse industries. TCOC global has been privileged to serve hundreds of businesses and organisations across the globe, including governments and agencies such as the armed forces. Every training is unique in its own way and we approach it in the same manner to communicate knowledge with excellence to improve the lives of our listeners and by extension the entities they represent. So to be modest I say we have done considerably well in this regard and we believe it is just early stages of the impact that we will continue to spread.
You are a happily married father of two. What are some of your biggest lessons from fatherhood?
Fatherhood is the best experience and cannot be traded for anything else in my books. The biggest lesson is one of sacrifice, understanding that the kids come before everything and anything else. Second must be the learning curve, fatherhood teaches you patience and with that comes knowledge that the children constantly communicate. Third must be responsibility, fatherhood will cause you to be responsive to the needs and wants of those around you, making you selfless in most things.
