Mastercard Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa SME Confidence Index predicted 63 per cent business expansion in 2023,which Nigeria’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are riding on its wave of optimism. Yet, challenges persist, particularly in accessing global markets and managing complex payment systems.

In this evolving landscape, Business Manager and Digital Marketer, Aussie digital, Olajide Olanlokun, is championing digital transformation. “Omnichannel payments are pivotal to SME growth, and 97 per cent of Nigerian SMEs agree,” Olanlokun noted, referencing Mastercard’s findings.

Aussie Digital provides a unified platform that integrates trading (Tradedo), e-commerce (Tradezy), and social media (Chatezy). “This integration simplifies the user experience, enabling seamless transitions between trading, buying, and community interaction,” Olanlokun explained.
With blockchain-enabled digital tokens, the platform empowers small businesses to transition online, offering tools tailored to meet SME needs. “Our solutions reduce reliance on intermediaries by enabling direct peer-to-peer transactions. This decentralisation fosters financial independence,” he added.

The focus on small and family-owned businesses is central. “Aussie Digital’s mission is to promote economic inclusivity by leveling the playing field for SMEs in a competitive digital economy,” Olanlokun emphasised.

Aussie Digital also supports its community through educational resources, forums, and user-friendly tools. “We prioritise engagement, ensuring users have the knowledge to navigate the cryptocurrency landscape successfully,” Olanlokun said.
The platform’s usability appeals to both beginners and experts. “Our intuitive interface is designed to simplify trading and facilitate efficient payment solutions, covering fiat and crypto,” he explained.

Beyond his work at Aussie Digital, Olanlokun is driving social impact through CareBridge International, a care home designed to provide job opportunities and specialised services. “CareBridge will create roles for healthcare professionals, caregivers, and administrative staff, boosting local economies and addressing unemployment,” he shared.

The facility will cater for assisted living, rehabilitation, and memory care, offering tailored support for the elderly and individuals with disabilities. “Our focus is to ensure dignity, independence, and quality of life for residents in a compassionate and professional environment,” Olanlokun stated.

By hosting workshops and support groups, CareBridge aims to serve as a trusted resource for families, offering guidance on eldercare and wellness programs. “We want to foster a sense of community while providing emotional and educational resources,” he added.

With Aussie Digital and CareBridge International, Olanlokun is redefining empowerment for Nigerian SMEs and communities. “By integrating technology, education, and care, we are creating platforms that transform lives and businesses alike,” he said.
