The Jumpstart Initiative, led by Terhemba Tsepav, has once again made a significant impact on young professionals and business owners by providing not just knowledge, but life-changing opportunities at the Jumpstart 2025 held on March 8.

This year’s edition, themed ‘Re-strategising the Year,’ went beyond empowering participants with career and business insights, it also awarded five tech skill training scholarships, five fashion upgrade scholarships, and two direct employment opportunities to outstanding attendees.

The tech skill scholarships will enable beneficiaries to gain expertise in high-demand areas such as digital marketing, web development, and data analytics, equipping them with the tools to thrive in today’s digital economy. The fashion upgrade scholarships are designed to support creatives in the fashion industry, providing them with advanced training and mentorship to elevate their craft and business prospects.

In a remarkable show of support for young talent, two Jumpstart participants also secured immediate employment offers, reinforcing the event’s reputation as a springboard for career growth. These opportunities, made possible through partnerships with forward-thinking organisations, reflect Jumpstart’s commitment to bridging the gap between talent and the marketplace.

Speaking at the event in Makurdi, Benue State, Terhemba Tsepav emphasized the importance of skills acquisition and continuous learning. “Jumpstart is more than an event, it’s a movement that positions young people for success. These scholarships and job placements are part of our mission to create real impact, beyond motivation, by opening doors to practical opportunities,” he stated.

Alongside this initiative, Cruz Wise Academy, Terhemba’s EdTech platform, continues to provide accountants and finance professionals with tailored digital learning experiences that enhance their competencies and career prospects.

With each edition, Jumpstart continues to transform lives, proving that with the right skills, knowledge, and opportunities, young professionals can rise, grow, and thrive in their chosen fields.
