Devtage Nigeria has appointed Ayodeji Saba to its Board of Directors to guide the development of its Fintech arm.

The leading business conglomerate founded in 2018, Devtage Nigeria, maintains interests in Asset Management, Private Equity, Venture Capital Investment, Management Consulting, e-hailing Technology, and Insurance.

Its notable clients include Chevron, Baker Hughes, First Bank, EcoBank, and the Federal Government of Nigeria.

With this appointment, Saba will drive the execution of Devtage’s Fintech initiatives as a Non-Executive Director.

Speaking on the appointment, the conglomerate’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Ike Ofuokwu, said, “Our value proposition is based on understanding our clients and bridging the gap between what they have and what they need. In Ayodeji, we have a proven professional with impeccable success stories in the Fintech world who will provide us with fresh ideas, sound business direction, and solid leadership in the Fintech space.”

Ofuokwu said Saba brings over a decade of experience and a stellar track record of achievements in the financial technology sector, including the highly coveted award of Nigeria’s Next Generation Banker in 2022 by the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Saba currently leads Switch, a Fintech innovation pioneered by Sterling Bank to help Nigerians in the diaspora participate seamlessly in the Nigerian financial ecosystem.

Within its first three years, Switch has managed to build a large customer base with a presence in 145 countries. He holds an MBA in Global Business from Nexford University, USA, and another in Public Finance from LAUTECH, Nigeria,

Accepting the appointment, Saba remarked, “I am thrilled to join the Board of Devtage Nigeria to drive exciting Fintech initiatives of the conglomerate while focusing on delivering solutions that bring immense value to our stakeholders.”
