Silicon Valley consultant commends Uzodimma for revolution on infrastructure in Imo
A United States based technology infrastructure consultant in Silicon Valley, California, Engr. Emmanuel Abuchi Ihenacho, has commended Governor Hope Uzodimma’s leadership approach to governance by ‘talking less and doing more’ with the ongoing radical infrastructure development across the state through the purpose driven and goal-getter Commissioner for Works, Chief Ralph Nwosu, describing him as a right peg in the right hole.
The commendation is coming on the heels of his recent visit to Imo State and at a time when critics of the government are using social media to give false narratives about the true state of Imo and performance index of the governor.
While appreciating the governor for his revolutionary giant stride in road construction, urban renewal, relative peace in the state, and his Sam Mbakwe-like visionary leadership style, Ihenacho, however, commended the Commissioner for Works, Ralph Nwosu, for aligning with the Renewed Hope Mantra of the Uzodimma led Shared Prosperity Administration by spearheading all construction projects across the state.
The Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Sony Playstation Technology Innovation expert, said that the massive road construction projects embarked by the Imo State Government through the Ministry of Works under Chief Ralph Nwosu is quite heartwarming and breathtaking.
According to Ihenacho, the commissioner is the proverbial good workman that doesn’t quarrel with his tools as he implements to the later the budgetary allocation to his ministry and fully supports the government’s efforts in prioritising the financial and economic interests of the state with no zone being left behind in the spread of developmental projects across the 27 councils.
Following the impressive achievement scorecard of the Imo State Ministry of Works, performance index, the journey, challenges, and trajectory before assumption of office and the timely updates of the Ministry of Works under the proactive watch of Nwosu that supervised the following projects under review: Construction of Mgbe- Akokwa -Uga Road, which is executed in collaboration with the federal government to address ecological considerations, Cranbeburg Construction Company is handling the project.
In Orlu Town, asphalt laying has commenced from Okporo junction to Eziachi, near the Government House Annex, as part of the Orlu Urban Renewal Project, adding that other major road contractors will soon begin work on street roads throughout Orlu.
During a recent projects inspection tour with the governor, the commissioner, who was also very visible at all the projects sites said: ” Work on the Assumpta Cathedral Roundabout Flyover is progressing, with the sub-structure and piers now completed as the construction crews are currently launching the beams for the flyover.
Additionally, the government is also working on the Ihiagwa Road Bridge, which is nearing completion and will facilitate the vital link to Obinze. Ongoing drainage work aims to effectively channel floodwaters into the Otamiri River. ”
Other projects in the pipeline include the Avu-Adapalm Road, Naze -Timber Market Road, and Umunyeali Road. The government has also installed drainage systems on the road leading to Alaba Market in Owerri, with asphalt laying scheduled to take place immediately after the rainy season.
Nwosu assured that the government would continue to work tirelessly to address the challenges facing Umuguma Road and other areas.
He also announced plans for a holistic urban renewal programme in Okigwe town, encompassing all major roads.
Applauding Uzodimma for appointing a very proactive and effective commissioner for Works in the state, Ihenacho said he has no doubt in the capacity of the latter to deliver on assigned tasks, and the commitment of the state government to enhancing infrastructure and improving the lives of Imo citizens including those in rural communities.
