Wale Oke, others join Adeboye to lead ‘Light-Up Ibadan’ crusade
The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, will be joined by Bishop Francis Wale Oke, Bishop Taiwo Adelakun, Pastor Femi Emmanuel, and others for the Light-Up Crusade holding in Ibadan on Friday.
The crusade, organised by an interdenominational evangelistic coalition in Oyo State, is meant to bring more souls into the kingdom of God and enlighten a world full of darkness.
The programme, themed “Light-Up Ibadan,” will be held from the 14th to the 15th of March, 2025. It will kick off at 3:00 p.m. on Friday and 12:00 noon on Saturday at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Oke-Ado, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Pastor Adeboye will be the guest minister, alongside other great men of God who will grace the programme.
The Assistant Continental Overseer of RCCG and Regional Pastor of Region 21, Pastor Ezekiel Afolayan, who represented the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, Pastor Jide Ojurongbe, disclosed this during a press conference in Ibadan. Afolayan said the crusade would win more souls into the kingdom of God.
The assistant continental overseer noted that the theme of the programme was derived from the idea that where there is no light, there will be darkness, and darkness has surrounded the world.
According to Afolayan, at the inception of the crusade three years ago, the organisers felt the programme should move around in order to enlighten and deliver people from darkness into the marvellous light of God.
The pastor assured that people should not be afraid to attend the programme on Friday and Saturday, stressing that all necessary measures have been put in place to ensure safety. He also promised that over 40 buses would be available at designated locations to convey people to the venue.
Afolayan called on Oyo State residents and Nigerians to come and pray in order to be liberated from the shackles of darkness
