YPP rep defects to APGA in House of Reps
Clara Nnabuife, a member of the House of Representatives representing Orumba North/Orumba South Federal Constituency in Anambra State, has defected from the Young Progressives Party (YPP) to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
The announcement was made during Thursday’s plenary session in the House.
Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, presiding in the absence of Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, read Nnabuife’s letter of defection on the floor of the House.
In the letter, Nnabuife cited her exclusion from YPP activities as the reason for her move, stating, “The exclusion from the activities of YPP and the need to embrace a better platform to represent the wishes of my people is the reason for this decision.”
She said that APGA would provide her with an improved platform to serve her constituency.
