Lagos prosecute two for dumping waste illegally

The Lagos State Government has charged two persons to court for dumping waste illegally in Surulere.

The MD/CEO of the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Muyiwa Gbadegesin announced their arrest in a post on his X account on Thursday morning.

“These two culprits were captured red-handed by @Lawma_gov while dumping waste at Shitta Roundabout, Surulere early this morning,” Gbadegesin said.

“We have brought them to court at the Task Force, Oshodi for prosecution. If you love Lagos, please spread the #ZeroToleranceLagos message.”

Gbadegesin warned Lagosians that if the authorities catch anyone dumping waste or committing any other environmental infractions in the state, they will be made to face the full wrath of the law.
