West Africa to receive exclusive cinema release of ‘The Chosen: Last Supper’
West Africa will make history with an exclusive early cinema release of ‘The Chosen: Last Supper’ (Season 5) on Friday, April 4, 2025, six days ahead of its global premiere.
The announcement was made on at Tribe Nation Theatrical Distribution’s Q1 Exhibition Showcase at Alliance Française, Ikoyi, Lagos. The release is timed to coincide with Holy Week.
The organisers said that the theatrical release allows audiences to experience the first two episodes on the big screen, as this strategy has been successfully implemented in other regions to create a shared viewing experience that deepens engagement with the series.
Created by Dallas Jenkins, The Chosen is a historical drama depicting the life of Jesus Christ (Jonathan Roumie) through the eyes of those who knew him. Set in first-century Israel under Roman rule, the seven-season series offers an intimate look at Jesus’ teachings and impact.
Tribe Nation Theatrical Distribution is handling the film’s release across West Africa, ensuring that key markets have access to this highly anticipated premiere.
Tickets will be available soon on the series’ website. For updates, follow @thechosentvng on social media.
