Craving a sweet and creamy treat? Look no further than this simple, four-ingredient Oreo ice cream. With just full cream or whipping cream, vanilla essence, condensed milk, and crushed Oreo biscuits, you can whip up a delicious dessert that will have everyone coming back for more. Whether you’re hosting a party, treating yourself, or looking for a fun activity with the kids, this recipe is a guaranteed hit.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of full cream or whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
  • 1 cup of condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 cups of crushed Oreo biscuits

Directions

  1. Prepare the cream base by pouring full cream or whipping cream into a large mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer, beat the cream on medium-high speed until it doubles in size and forms stiff peaks. This should take about 3-4 minutes. The cream should be thick and hold its shape when the beaters are lifted.
  2. Once the cream is whipped, add the vanilla essence and condensed milk to the bowl. Gently fold these ingredients into the whipped cream using a spatula. Be careful not to deflate the cream; mix just until everything is well combined.
  3. Next, take your crushed Oreo biscuits and fold them into the cream mixture. For a more consistent texture, ensure the Oreos are evenly distributed throughout the mixture. You can leave some larger chunks for added texture if you prefer.
  4. Transfer the Oreo ice cream mixture into a loaf pan or any freezer-safe container. Smooth the top with a spatula, cover it with plastic wrap or a lid, and place it in the freezer. Allow the ice cream to freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or overnight for best results.
  5. Once the ice cream is fully set, scoop it into bowls or cones, and enjoy your homemade Oreo ice cream. You can also garnish with additional crushed Oreos or a drizzle of chocolate syrup for an extra touch.

Additional tips

  • For best results, chill your mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for about 15 minutes before whipping the cream. This helps the cream whip more easily and achieve a better texture.
  • Feel free to experiment with other mix-ins like chocolate chips, caramel swirls, or even peanut butter for a unique twist on this classic treat.
