Internet’s nicest guy, MrBeast, faces 54-page suit from five female reality show contestants

YouTube’s biggest star, Jimmy Donaldson, popularly known as MrBeast, has been hit with a 54-page lawsuit from five female contestants of his upcoming reality show Beast Games.

His production company and Amazon were accused of fostering a toxic environment filled with misogyny, neglect, and unsafe conditions during filming in Los Angeles.

The show, touted as the largest reality competition series ever, with 1,000 contestants vying for a $5 million prize, is now in crisis as the lawsuit casts a shadow over its future.

The court documents allege that the contestants “particularly and collectively suffered” in an environment that “systematically fostered a culture of misogyny and sexism.”

Claims of contestants being “underfed and overtired,” with meals provided “sporadically and sparsely,” have also emerged, raising concerns about their health and safety.

The lawsuit also points to a hostile work environment rife with sexual harassment.

In August, the New York Times reported on several hospitalisations during the show’s production, with some participants alleging they went over 20 hours without food and did not receive their medications on time.

MrBeast and Amazon have yet to comment on these allegations.

This latest controversy is the most serious challenge yet to MrBeast’s image as the internet’s “nicest guy.”

Earlier this year, MrBeast faced backlash after his former co-host, Ava Kris Tyson, was accused of grooming a teenager. Although Ava denied the allegations, she apologised for “past behaviour.”

Meanwhile, MrBeast expressed disgust over the situation, stating the allegations were “serious.”
