In the first week of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), the Mbadiwe twins won the season’s weekly Head of House (HOH) nominations.

The voting breakdown is as follows:

Anita and Nelly (Nelita) voted for Streeze
Tjay and Ben (Beta) voted for Chekas
Wanni and Handi (Wanni X Handi) voted for Shatoria
Mayor Frosh and Toby Forge (Streeze) voted for Nelita
Chinne and Nne (Ndi Nne) voted for the Mbadiwe twins
Topher and Sooj (Aces) voted for Radicals
DJ Flo and Rhuthee (Flourish) voted for the Mbadiwe twins
Ozee and Ocee (Mbadiwe Twins) voted for Zinwe
Victoria and Shaun (Shatoria) voted for Wanni x Handi
Chinwe and Zion (Zinwe) voted for Flourish
Toyosi and Damilola (Tami) voted for Beta
Fairme David and Michky (Radicals) voted for Doublekay
Chizoba and Onyeka (Chekas) voted for Tami

With a tied vote between the Mbadiwe Twins and the Radicals, the deciding vote came from the Ndi Nne duo, who chose to award the HOH title to the twins.

This first-week draw is setting the tone for an intense and unpredictable season of Big Brother Naija. The twins, now in power as the HOH, will have the opportunity to shape the course of the competition as they make key decisions that could significantly impact the other housemates.

Additionally, in previous seasons, the HOH usually has immunity. But in this season, that is not the case. Not only do they have not have immunity, they also don’t have the power to save and replace people that are up for eviction. The only thing they can do is to suggest punishments to big brother in situations of infringement of house rules.

Who are the Mbadiwe twins?

The twins are the grandchildren of the popular Ozumba Mbadiwe, and the sons of Nigerian business mogul, Greg Mbadiwe. Ozumba Mbadiwe is a well-respected Nigerian politician. He held several ministerial positions such as Minister for Commerce, and Minister for Trade and Communications. Also, he has six children, including Greg Mbadiwe, who fathers the BBNaija twins.
