Veteran Afrobeats singer, Oluwajuwonlo Iledare, popularly known as Jaywon, has stirred reactions after questioning Grammy-nominated artiste, Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, professionally called Ayra Starr, over her choice of outfit in a recent viral photo.
The exchange happened on Thursday when a fan on X (formerly Twitter) asked Jaywon to share his thoughts about a trending image of the Rush crooner wearing a skimpy blue bra that exposed part of her cleavage.
Jaywon, in response, wrote, “She no get mama and papa?”
The remark sparked mixed reactions among social media users, with some criticising the veteran singer for meddling in the 23-year-old’s personal life, while others backed his view on her dressing.
Ayra Starr, who lost her father at an early age and was raised by her mother, has faced repeated criticism on Nigerian social media over what some describe as “indecent dressing.”
Despite the backlash, the Mavin Records artiste has consistently maintained her bold and revealing fashion style since making her breakthrough in 2021.
