WFH Office
With a lot of firm’s decisions to cut down on cost of production by having the bulk of their staff that doesn’t necessarily have to be in the office space to deliver work from home (WFH), the need to create an office space in your home has become imperative.
This is because remote work can be challenging due to the level of comfort or distraction you get from family members. So, if you do not create an ambience that puts you in a disciplined work mode as that of the regular workspace you may find yourself inefficient, unproductive and defaulting on your duty.
Creating WFH Space
Wondering how to achieve this with your original limited home space? No need for worries, as you only need a single desk and chair to achieve this with the following steps:
• Find a perfect illuminated and breathable small space – usually the window side is your best bet as this allows natural light.
• If you don’t have a space around your window where you can get natural light, consider investing on modern lamp to brighten up your work corner.
• Get necessary work equipment
• Stock up on office supplies including stationery.
• Store professional work documents in files separately.
• Absolute commitment, dedication and self-discipline are required.
• Stay well nourished and hydrated.
• Be properly dressed as you may have an impromptu video meeting that would not avail you the time to dress up – you don’t want to be seen unkempt.
• Keep track of time.
• Shun distractions or any form of disturbance from friends and family members.
