Winnie Harlow Shares Her Truth
Last week, top model, Winnie Harlow came under fire about the controversial comments she made back in May about hit reality TV show, “America’s Next Top Model”.
Harlow who was a contestant on the show while making an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live! with Andy Cohen had said,
“I really started modeling after the show because that really didn’t do anything for my career…which it doesn’t do for any model’s career realistically.”
The comment didn’t sit well with many who felt she was being ungrateful to Tyra Banks who is the producer of the show. Banks herself also addressed Harlow when she revealed that she (Banks) discovered Harlow on Instagram. Banks kept the drama to a minimum and shrugged it off saying,
“I have nothing but love for my girls and my girls come from so many walks of life and so much pain and so much hardship and so much story, and a lot of the times when people express themselves in certain ways, there’s a reason,” the supermodel stated. “I will respect her confidentiality and her life, but yeah.”
Yesterday, December 3, 24-year-old Harlow took to Instagram to clear the air about her controversial statement that the show did nothing for her career. Read her Instagram post below,
Harlow felt compelled to tell the truth because she wants to “be real with young guys and girls whose dreams are to become models.”
