276,767 eligible voters completed registration in Anambra, says INEC
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education, Festus Okoye, has disclosed that as at July 25, 2022, a total of 276,767 eligible voters have completed their registration in Anambra State.
Okoye made the revelation at the weekend, in an interactive session with newsmen at the state INEC office while supervising the last lap of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
He further explained that at the local/domestic level in Anambra, the commission has a figure for all registrants, especially in relation to four-quarter of the registration process.
“For fourth-quarter of the registration exercise in Anambra, and quarter for July 26 for fresh registrants, we recorded a total of 133, 009 new registrants. Those who carried out transfers stood at 3,601 and those who came for update of personal details stood at 1,423,” Okoye said.
