A 46-year-old Printpreneur and Photographer, Oluyinka  Egbinola,  is in need of N25 million for a kidney transplant to save his life.

Egbinola, a native of Ire-wole in Ikire Local Council of  Osun State, has been diagnosed with an end-stage kidney disease for about four years.
He told The Guardian that he was advised to do a kidney transplant, but he couldn’t afford the N25 million required for the surgery.

Egbinola stated that he has been on maintenance hemodialysis and other nephrology care since 2018. “The cost of dialysis together with medications weekly is about N120,000.
“I am calling on state governors, politicians, captains of industries, and well-meaning Nigerians to support me. I can only appeal to save my life,” he added.

“I am an end-stage kidney failure patient undergoing dialysis twice every week as a means of temporary treatment. I have been battling with these ailments since 2018. Right now, I have been advised to go for Kidney Transplant, which was estimated at between N25m to cater for the treatment, post-treatment and other related costs, he said.”
He appealed to the public for assistance, while his wife, Mrs Egbinola, noted that the family had no means to continue his treatment.

She said: “Please, help us. No amount is small. We are a young couple with three kids, they are still very young and we can no longer foot his bills.”
A medical report from Gbagada General Hospital and  Dialyser Medical Centre, Oshodi, signed by Dr. Busari A.A, indicated that Egbinola could no longer afford the huge amount expended on his weekly dialysis, hence the need to consider a kidney transplant.

When The Guardian contacted Dr. Emma Awobusuyi, the Dialyser specialist managing his case at  Medical Centre, Arowojobe Oshodi, Lagos, yesterday, he said: “ Egbinola was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and he’s dialysis-dependent and requires dialysis two to thrice a week to sustain himself till he gets a transplant. We have been attending to him for close to six months. The cost is around N25 million.
