African Food Network officially adds to its subsidiaries with the acquisition of South African Foods @SA_FOODS, a popular community on Instagram that showcases cuisines from South Africa with over 270 thousand followers, and is also home to many culinary brands who are passionate about showcasing the rich cultural culinary heritage from South Africa to the world. SA Foods features South African food recipes, health, cooking tips, and other food content.

With this acquisition, African Food Network appoints Athule Nanesh, a young inspiring food blogger and creator as country manager. This drives the brand a step forward in achieving its goal of promoting African food as it is not given the recognition it deserves on a global level and also portrays African Food Network’s expertise and potential in maintaining its stand as one of the industry-leading brands in the African culinary industry.

Just a few years ago, African Food Network started off as just a mere website with less than 50 recipes and a growing social profile; now it boasts of being one of the largest hubs of African food recipes with over 1000 recipes curated from different authors and food bloggers while being the biggest community of African food lovers on the internet with over a million followers on social media who are passionate and have an almost overwhelming enthusiasm about the African Cuisine.

Since its conception, it is of an undebatable relevance that African Food Network has been changing the narrative in the culinary industry having birthed projects and ideas that steadily promote our African food culture to the world at large with no exemption to the African Food & Drinks Festival. The African food network has become a go-to hub for every African food lover and is set to keep pushing African cuisine into making the top charts as one of the most loved cuisines in the world.

Kevin Eze, the Founder /CEO of the African food network, is evidently one of the very few who have taken it upon themselves to change the narrative of this. His vision is to create a global brand that largely portrays Africa to the world via its cuisines.

Speaking to him on the acquisition, he stressed the need to redefine the world’s view of African cuisine, chefs, and traditional cooks. This acquisition would enable the African Food Network to get a deeper understanding of southern African culinary affairs and enable them to promote better information to a global audience.

“At the African Food Network, we have a much better content structure and good audience from West Africa so this acquisition would strengthen our network in Southern Africa. There is a lot more we can do with this partnership; I believe with time we would be able to share what we’re working on with everyone” – he added

African Food Network still features a wide range of recipes from all around Africa, giving readers a detailed step-by-step process in making sumptuous African dishes while documenting them for future purposes. The platform also features different articles that are written to enlighten readers, teaching them different things about the food-making process, food hacks, health benefits, and ways to be creative while cooking.
