The Girls’ Brigade has honoured Rev. Mother Abimbola Esther Ajayi as its Grand Matron at a parade held at the Love of Christ Generation Church, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The ceremony, which took place on Sunday brought together members of the Girls’ Brigade, church leaders and guests to celebrate Ajayi’s dedication to the work of God and her support for the growth of the organisation.

A major highlight of the event was the formal installation of Ajayi as Grand Matron in recognition of her commitment to the service of God and the church.

The General Secretary of the Unification Church, Senior Prophet Tayo Ajose, graced the occasion and was also honoured as the Grand Patron of the Girls’ Brigade for his support and encouragement of the organisation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ajose said the recognition reflected the value the Cherubim and Seraphim Church attached to Ajayi’s dedication to the things of God.

“The Cherubim and Seraphim Church is proud of the Girls’ Brigade for recognising Rev. Mother Abimbola Esther Ajayi’s continuous dedication to the things of God. This appreciation and recognition award is very important and special,” he said.

In her acceptance remarks, Ajayi expressed appreciation for the honour, describing her appointment as Grand Matron as an opportunity to support the development of the younger generation.

“I am deeply honoured to be entrusted with this role as Grand Matron of the Girls’ Brigade. This recognition is not just for me, but for the work of God that continues to inspire and guide us all,” she said.

Ajayi said the Girls’ Brigade represented discipline, faith and service, adding that she was committed to supporting its members as they developed into leaders who would positively influence society.

“The Girls’ Brigade represents discipline, faith, and service, and I am committed to supporting these young women as they grow into leaders who will shine the light of Christ in every sphere of life,” she said.

She prayed for strength to continue building a generation committed to love, excellence and service to God.

The ceremony also featured a coordinated parade by members of the Girls’ Brigade, with participants demonstrating discipline, teamwork and precision.

The parade provided an opportunity for members to showcase the values and training associated with the organisation, while adding colour to the celebration.

The recognition of Ajayi as Grand Matron and Ajose as Grand Patron underscored the importance of leadership, mentorship and dedicated service in advancing the vision and values of the Girls’ Brigade.
