Anxiety over Ajimobi’s health

There were unconfirmed reports late yesterday that former Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi was dead.

His spokesperson, Mr. Bolaji Tunji, however, denied the speculation, saying: “I spoke to one of his daughters about 15 minutes ago and she told me he is fine. So, discard the speculation.”

But reminded that he never confirmed reports that Ajimobi was indisposed until the current leadership crisis in the All Progressives Congress (APC) came up, Tunji said: “I can only tell you now that he is alive and nothing is true in what is being speculated.”

Ajimobi has not been seen in public for over a month and has reportedly been receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital in Lagos since last month.
