AP ex-guber candidate, Islamic cleric urge support for Tinubu
Say APC leader remains best candidate
The 2019 governorship candidate of the Accord Party (AP) in Oyo State, Saheed Ajadi, has said that the National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, remains the best candidate among other contestants aspiring to be president in 2023.
Ajadi, who stated this yesterday, while speaking with journalists at Iyaganku in Ibadan, said Tinubu is a phenomenon and competent leader that must be supported by all and sundry to become president in 2023. He added that Tinubu’s track record in leadership makes him the best man for the job. He said: “Asiwaju Tinubu is a transformational model leader. He has the track record of performance.
“If he is given the opportunity, he will do well. Among those jostling to govern Nigeria, Asiwaju is still the best. He has a track record.
Ajadi, who disclosed his intention to contest for Oyo State governorship election on the platform of the Accord Party in 2023, said he would embark on agricultural revolution to turn around the fortune of the state, if elected.
SIMILARLY, the Chief Missioner of Muasatul Anwar Mumineen, Shiekh Mumeen Ashiribo, has described Tinubu as God sent to rescue the country from collapsing.
Ashiribo, who stated this during a Ramadan public lecture hosted by the Lagos Beyond 2023, a campaign platform for Tinubu’s presidential aspiration in 2023, urged Nigerians, especially the Yoruba, to support the presidential ambition of Tinubu, saying he has built politicians, leaders and those who currently hold positions in government. He, however, urged Nigerians to vote for a leader who is up and doing and have no preference for religion and ethnicity.
