APC: Court retracts order suspending Ganduje
The controversy surrounding the suspension of the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has taken another twist as Justice Usman Na’abba vacated his earlier order affirming the suspension of Ganduje.
In an interim injunction granted on Monday, Justice Na’abba of the state high court retracted his order, instead directing parties to ignore the status quo on Ganduje’s suspension.
The judge on 17th April, granted an exparte motion filed by Haladu Gwanjo a factional legal adviser of Ganduje ward in Dawakin-Tofa local government area, restraining Dr. Ganduje’s membership from APC.
The respondents in the suit were the All Progressive Congress APC, The National Working Committee (APC), The State Executive Committee APC Kano Chapter, and Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
However, in a twist of the event, the presiding Judge, Justice Usman Na’Abba said while vacating his earlier order, that parties should therefore directed to appear for a hearing on a substantive suit slated for 30th April 2024.
