At Women Conference: Iyiegbu urges women to be more resilient, skillful

The Executive Director and Founder, KIEK Foundation, Barr. Ebele Iyiegbu has tasked women across the country to be more resilient and skilful in life.

Iyiegbu spoke in Abuja early in the week at the maiden edition of the Ahava Coach Women Conference, with the theme, ‘The Resilient Woman’. The conference curated speakers who dealt with topics ranging from marriage, relationships, parenting careers and finance.

Iyiegbu said that it has become imperative for the 21st-century woman to be empowered with the requisite skills to thrive in every facet of life while learning all that she needs to combat the numerous challenges that she contends with daily.

Iyiegbu who also doubled as the convener of the conference, noted that women appeared to be giving up faster these days. She, therefore, encouraged women to stand firm and not give up in marriages.

She said that there was a resilient spirit in every woman and that if the spirit is not nurtured, it will prevent the woman from winning in life.

She further encouraged women to support, love and empower one another to reach their desired destinations, adding that “there is this resilient spirit in us that we need to begin to nurture. If you don’t nurture it, you will not be able to win in life.”

In her remarks, Pastor Mrs. Dayo Benjamin Olaniyi, charged the participants to dream and explore their latent potential so that they can be remembered long after they were gone. She further stated that every resilient woman is on a journey, and all they need to reach their destination is the power from within.

“The Ahava Coach aims to provide a platform for women of all ages and walks of life to share their valuable knowledge and experiences in self-love, self-discovery and self-actualization.

“Established to help women discover and design the loftiest vision of their whole selves, the Ahava Coach empowers women to find their purpose, express themselves with confidence, and establish their leadership vision while building the skill set necessary to realize it”, Iyiegbu said.
