Atiku wins in Yobe, defeats Kwankwaso, Tinubu, Peter Obi
The Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has emerged winner in the presidential election in Yobe State.
According to the results announced on Monday by the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) collation officers for the 17 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the state, Atiku polled a total of 198,567 votes.
Atiku co-contender, Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), emerged second with a total of 151,459 votes.
The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, polled 18,270 votes while Peter Obi of the Labour Party trailed with 2,406 votes.
