Canada-based Business Consultant and Development Expert, Bola Badmus has been selected by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry to join the official Trade Delegation led by Canada’s Deputy Minister of International Trade, Rob Stewart at the annual CUSMA SME Dialogue, hosted by the Ministry of Economy of Mexico in Mexico City on September 21, 2023.

The Canada-US-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) SME Dialogue brings together small and medium-sized businesses and stakeholders, including those representing underrepresented communities, with government officials to discuss strengthening regional trade and investment with CUSMA, enhancing cooperation on issues of mutual interest to SMEs, and helping more small businesses benefit from the CUSMA, which will foster economic growth and jobs in communities across North America.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Bola Badmus stated, “I am honored to be invited by the Deputy Minister and Trade Commissioner Service Global Affairs Canada on this trilateral trade mission and high-level dialogue that facilitate digital trade and strategic partnerships within the North American corridor. The CUSMA SME Dialogue will further strengthen the economic ties between Canada and its North American partners.” He added, “It is an opportunity to also build export capacity for the underrepresented communities and promote inclusivity for the larger business ecosystem.”

Mr Badmus is the Managing Partner at BB Atlantic Group, a solution-based consulting firm that focuses on building operational capabilities by deploying the power of business analytics and value-accretive capital to support private & public sector clients with the potential for global or regional scale.

Bola Badmus is also the Executive Director – Projects and Business Advisory, at the Canadian Imperial Advantage, an economic development agency that facilitates entrepreneurship support for Black Businesses in Canada through professional advisory and access to capital. He is also a pioneer at building sustainable pathways for African Start-ups to grow and thrive in Canada, while leveraging value-accretive resources to facilitate trade to emerging economies.
