Bandits invade hospital, kidnap nurses, patients, kill seven
Bandits have killed six and abducted many others in Kallah Afogo Community, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Locals reported that the bandits attacked the village around 11:15 p.m. on Sunday. They broke into houses and went away with the locals.
The bandits launched another attack on Bakin Pah in Maro ward of the same LGA, where one person was killed and 6 others abducted, as well as the Primary Healthcare Centre at Kuyallo, Birnin-Gwari LGA, where they kidnapped two nurses and an unspecified number of patients in the hospital.
Both the state government and police have not responded to the latest attack by terrorists. However, according to Musa Alhassan, one of the leaders of a local vigilante group, the bandits initially targeted the nearby Government Day Secondary School when they arrived around 9 a.m. on Monday. He said that upon finding the school empty, they turned their attention to the healthcare centre, located in closer proximity to the school.
“The exact number of patients kidnapped is still unknown,” he added.
