Bello signs Kogi free exam bill, 14 others into law
Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has assented to 15 bills, including the Kogi State Free Examination Registration Fees Bill, passed by the House of Assembly.
Bello, while signing the bills, commended the Assembly for their contribution to the overall development of Kogi. Recognising the importance of a robust legislative framework, the governor praised the lawmakers for their dedication to the betterment of the state.
Speaker of the Assembly, Aliyu Umar, congratulated the governor for the successful completion of his tenure of office. Acknowledging the lasting impact of Bello’s administration in the last eight years, Aliyu praised him for leaving behind indelible marks of progress.
He noted that the bills, being the last to be signed by Bello, marked the end of an era.
Umar emphasised the state’s gratitude for the governor’s invaluable guidance, profound wisdom, as well as deep vision that played pivotal role in steering the state towards growth.
Looking to the future, Aliyu expressed confidence in the leadership of Governor-elect, Ahmed Ododo.
