Christmas: Amb. Tochukwu rejoices with all Christians
Amb. Tochukwu Umezulike aka Toks Asher Young has rejoiced with Christians in Lagos state and Nigeria as a whole on the occasion of the celebration of Christmas, which marks the birth of Jesus Christ.
Toks charged the Christian community to use the celebration of Christmas to pray for peace and unity in Nigeria.
The music business practitioner, philanthropist and writer enjoined Christians to offer special prayers for the security and economic growth of Nigeria in the face of the current security challenges being experienced in different parts of the country. He urged the Christian faithful to continue to show tolerance and love as enshrined in the Bible as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
Young asked Christians to commit themselves to the teachings of Christ not just as a matter of religious obligation but a way to promote good neighbourliness and peaceful coexistence in a diverse and multicultural society like Nigeria.
“This celebration reminds us of all of the virtues of Christ both as man and as God, which every Christian should emulate in promoting love, peace and progress of Nigeria.” He added.
Tochukwu encouraged Nigerians to continue to resist any act that will undermine the unity and progress of the country. He urged them to be good citizens and ambassadors of change.
