CIGF gifts less-privileged children Christmas presents
Over 100 less-privileged children in Bauchi have received Christmas packages from the Child is Gold Foundation (CIGF), a non-governmental organization working towards protection and child development.
The children were drawn from different locations in Bauchi metropolis to have fun during the Yuletide. The Team of the Foundation, Ishaya George who spoke on behalf of the Executive Director of the Foundation, Elizabeth George, said that it is part of the Foundation’s activities to fete children during Sallah and Christmas celebrations.
“During these periods, we find time to celebrate with those ‘less-privileged’ children, share love, food, gifts and have fun together.
“Here we have food items like noodles, clothing and other gifts items to make them feel loved. We are doing this in collaboration with the Young Individual Development Initiative (YIDI).
“We have over 100 children here who will go home with our gifts.
“We are more concerned about the protection and development of children. These are soft targets. We need to care for them. Those who are with their parents are being abused and talk more of those without known parents. These and more are what we advocate for.”
