The Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management (CIISM) is set to host a high-level national engagement on August 15, 2025, combining a capacity-building workshop, induction ceremony, and awards gala—all designed to strengthen Nigeria’s strategic management landscape.
Themed “Strategic Synergies: Leveraging Arts Management & Information Strategy for Nigeria’s Development,” the triple-pronged event will take place at the Army Resource Centre in Asokoro, Abuja.
“This year’s programme is designed to deepen institutional knowledge and recognise those driving transformation in the information and strategy space,” said CIISM Chairman, Prof. Paul Bolorunduro, who will lead keynote sessions alongside University of Ibadan’s Prof. Oyeyemi Mathew Olugbenga, Vice President of CIISM.
Expected to grace the occasion are dignitaries such as Dr. Peter Mrakpor (SAN), Amb. Dr. Uduogho, Alhaji Dr. Shehu Mohammed (Sarkin Shanun Kano), Oba Dr. Alaba Omotunde, and HE Amb. Dr. Abayomi Mumuni, among others.
New inductees have been advised to make their registration payment of ₦20,000, which includes ceremony materials and certificates. “Induction into CIISM goes beyond formality; it is a commitment to excellence,” Prof. Olugbenga noted.
CIISM, formerly known as the Institute of Information and Strategy Management (IISM), continues to hold its place as Africa’s largest professional body in the sector.
Last year’s honorees included prominent figures such as Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, Governor Mai Mala Buni, ex-Governors Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and Ifeanyi Okowa, and former Senator Grace Folashade Bent. This year, the Institute confirms that a new list of distinguished contributors to Nigeria’s information ecosystem has been shortlisted for recognition.
The event is widely expected to galvanise thought leadership and foster strategic partnerships for national progress.
