Edo NMA tasks Okonofua on improved contributions to medicine

The Edo State Branch of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has urged Prof Friday Okonofua, who is Center Lead, Center For Excellence in Reproductive Health Innovation at University of Benin (UNIBEN) to continue to mentor, inspire and educate medical professionals as he assume his new role as a member of the US National Academy of Medicine.

The NMA in a statement signed by Dr. Eustace Oseghale and Dr. Iluobe Inegbenosun Chairman and Secretary of Edo NMA respectively made the remark while felicitating with Prof. Friday Okonofua on his recent election to the prestigious US National Academy of Medicine.

The NMA said the don was deserving of the elevation for his contributions to the field of medicine.

Oseghale said, “This is a truly remarkable achievement and a well-deserved honor for your outstanding contributions to the field of medicine.

“Your dedication, hard work, and expertise have not only impacted the lives of countless individuals but have also inspired and influenced the next generation of healthcare professionals.

The medical professionals added that there is no doubt that Okonofua will continue to inspire and educate others in his new role as a member of the US National Academy of Medicine.

“Your dedication to excellence and your commitment to improving healthcare outcomes will undoubtedly benefit countless individuals for years to come.”
